How to use AI Paraphraser

**Note:** Before using the tool for the first time, you must connect an AI provider. See the “AI Integration and Provider Setup” section below for details.

Enter or paste the text you want to paraphrase into the input field labeled *“Your Input.”* This can range from a single sentence to a longer paragraph.
- 3Choose Desired Style or Length
If options are available, select your preferred paraphrasing style: - Shortened (more concise) - Expanded (more detailed) - Tone-based (formal, friendly, neutral)
- 4Run the Paraphraser
Click the **“Paraphrase”** button. The AI processes your text and generates a rewritten version instantly.

Carefully review the output to ensure it matches your expectations. You can copy the paraphrased text directly and use it in documents, emails, or other platforms.
Privacy & cost
Your API key stays in your browser — requests go directly to your chosen provider. Usage is billed to your account, not ours, so you stay in full control of model choice and spend.

AI Paraphraser uses your own AI provider via Bring-Your-Own-Key. Your key is stored only in this browser's localStorage and sent directly to the provider you choose — MyToolyard never sees, logs, or proxies your traffic.
- Open the AI provider settings (accessible via the “AI keys” button in the interface)
- Choose your preferred provider (e.g., OpenRouter as shown in the interface)
- Paste your API key into the input field
- Select a model if required (e.g., GPT-4o mini or similar)
- Click Save to store the configuration locally
- Confirm the connection with a green “key set” status indicator
